excellent for the anxious
I’ve found PlushCare so helpful over the past year. In March 2021, when I finally realized I needed to try taking medication for OCD, anxiety, and depression, I didn’t feel comfortable going in-person to a new doctor (COVID, social anxiety, general nervousness around medical professionals). The doctor I saw made me feel so comfortable. She explained why she believed the medications she prescribed would work for me, made sure I was informed about potential side-effects, and listened with compassion. Our appointments are speedy, but I never feel rushed or as though I don’t have time to ask questions. We went through a couple of medications at first and we eventually found one that works for me. I can’t thank her enough she changed my life for the better and helped me find myself again. Yes, online therapy has been shown to be extremely effective. According to a 2014 study by the Journal of Affective Disorders, online therapy was found to be as effective, if not more effective, than traditional in-office therapy for depression and other mental health conditions.
