PlushCare editorial medical review process

Our vision

At PlushCare, we envision a world where everyone has access to reliable, up-to-date, and trustworthy medical information. We aim to bridge the gap between patients and medical knowledge, fostering informed decisions and promoting holistic well-being.

Our mission

Our mission is to provide accurate, comprehensive, and compassionate medical content that meets the highest standards of quality and integrity. Through the expertise of our dedicated team, we strive to empower our readers with the knowledge they need to lead healthier lives.

Our process

The content review process for PlushCare is crucial in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and relevance of the information provided to users. This process typically involves multiple stages to maintain high standards of medical content.

  • Board-certified doctors and licensed therapists: A team of board-certified physicians and licensed therapists from the top 50 U.S. medical schools review all our medical content. They review and actively contribute, bringing their invaluable experience to guarantee accuracy and up-to-date medical insight.

  • Medically accurate information: We prioritize scholarly articles, peer-reviewed studies, and authoritative health organizations as our primary sources of information. This ensures our insights are based on the latest medical research and consensus within the medical community.

  • Quality assurance: Medicine and healthcare are ever-evolving fields. We continually review and update our content to ensure it remains current with the latest clinical information regarding treatment procedures and protocols.

Here's a look at our comprehensive process

1. Initial research: Every article starts with thorough research, using only the most reputable sources and scholarly articles.

2. Writing by specialized content creators: Our writers, many with backgrounds in health and science, draft content with a keen focus on clarity and validity, citing resources where appropriate.

3. Medical review: Before publishing, each piece is reviewed by our team of board-certified doctors to ensure clinical accuracy. Our doctors ensure that all medical advice and insights align with established medical standards and adhere to current treatment guidelines. By doing this, we provide that the advice is accurate but also safe and practical for our readers.

4. Feedback loop: Our writers and medical reviewers work in tandem. If any updates or clarifications are needed, they collaborate closely, refining the content until it meets our rigorous standards.

5. Ongoing updates: With the field of health and medicine continually evolving, our commitment doesn’t end once an article is published. We routinely revisit and update our content to ensure it remains accurate, relevant, and reflective of the latest medical insights.

At PlushCare, our editorial standards are more than just guidelines – they reflect our commitment to your health and well-being. Trust in our content, knowing board-certified doctors, rigorous processes, and the latest medical knowledge back it.

Specialized clinical expertise and insight

Our clinicians’ expertise is crucial in curating content that resonates with our readers' needs. We rely on the judgment of professionals who have dedicated their clinical careers to a particular specialty. Their invaluable contributions ensure that our content educates readers with authoritative insights, facilitating informed decisions and fostering holistic well-being.
