What are Nurtec ODT side effects?

The most common side effects of Nurtec are mild and can include:

How do you take Nurtec ODT?*

Nurtec comes as orally disintegrating tablets, so you can bring them with you anywhere to stop migraine pain quickly. Since they dissolve on the tongue, you can take them without needing water or a drink, allowing you to be in control of your migraines.

Your doctor will give you instructions on how to take your Nurtec prescription. This may include taking one tablet (75 mg) per day at the first sign of a migraine to ease symptoms. To prevent chronic migraines, your doctor may recommend taking one tablet every other day.

You should not take more than one Nurtec ODT 75 mg tablet a day.

If you take too much, contact your doctor or local poison control center immediately. Taking too much Nurtec ODT can cause serious side effects, such as passing out and difficulty breathing.

Nurtec ODT may interact with certain medications, including:


Avoid consuming large amounts of grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice. Grapefruit can increase the levels of rimegepant in your body, which can lead to increased side effects.
