Can You Get a Victoza Prescription Online?

What is Victoza?

Victoza is the brand name of the prescription drug liraglutide. It is an anti-diabetic medication used to treat type 2 diabetes and can promote weight loss in certain patients.

How does Victoza work?

When food leaves your stomach too soon after you eat, you can experience a spike in blood sugar levels. Your liver may also naturally produce too much sugar, leading to high blood sugar levels. When your blood sugar is too high, the pancreas creates additional insulin hormones to regulate your blood sugar levels.

Victoza is taken to perform three tasks:

  1. First, acting like the hormone GLP-1, Victoza slows the food leaving your stomach.
  2. Second, Victoza helps reduce the amount of sugar produced by your liver.
  3. Third, Victoza aids the pancreas in the production of insulin when your blood sugar levels get too high. It does this by helping beta cells do their job and release more insulin into your blood.

It important to note that Victoza is not insulin but can be taken with long-acting insulin.

Victoza dosage and treatment

Victoza is a prescription drug delivered by injection at a typical dosage of 1.2 mg or 1.8 mg once daily. When first starting with Victoza, your doctor may recommend doses of 0.6 mg once daily for the first week.

Patients planning to or already taking Victoza should always follow their doctor’s specific treatment plan.

Benefits of Victoza

Victoza could be your route to getting control over your blood sugar. Across multiple clinical trials, Victoza is proven to reduce A1C levels (blood sugar levels). This can help slow the progression of diabetes and reduce the risk of health complications such as nerve damage and cardiovascular disease.

Victoza has also been found to help patients with weight loss, which can help lead to a healthy lifestyle in many cases.

It’s important to use Victoza in a combination of efforts to live a healthier lifestyle. Dieting properly, exercising, monitoring blood glucose levels, and following your medication treatment plan are all key components to combating diabetes.
