We are a telemedicine provider that allows you to speak with one of our doctors at the comfort of your own home through your smart phone or computer.
No, PlushCare is solely defined as a telemedicine company. We do not have any physical walk-in clinics, however, our physicians are still able to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications via the phone or video consultation.
Upon completion of your appointment, your doctor will send the prescription electronically to the pharmacy indicated in your profile for pickup.
We are electronically integrated with Quest Diagnostics and LabCorp. Your PlushCare doctor will send the lab referral electronically to the most convenient testing facility in your area. They will then receive the results electronically (after 3-5 business days) and will follow up with you immediately after.
Our doctor's have the ability to provide either a refill or initiation on most medications, outside of controlled substances. Here are some common medications that our doctor's have the ability to prescribe: Valtrex, Zoloft, Sertraline, Olanzapine, Trazodone, Propranolol, Prozac, Acyclovir, Metformin, Tamsulosin, Amlodipine, Valsartan. However, it is important to note that our doctor's will still defer to their best medical judgement during your visit, which may result in an outcome that is independent from prescribing any specific medications. PlushCare providers can provide simple forms such as work/school excuses or return to work/school documents whenever clinically appropriate. PlushCare's policy is to provide an excuse note for no more than 3 consecutive days. If additional days are requested, a new appointment is required for a new doctor's excuse note for up to another 3 consecutive days. Please discuss your need for a work note with your PlushCare physician at the time of the appointment for swift processing. PlushCare is not able to provide more substantial documents like FMLA forms, Disability forms or Handicap/DMV card documents.
Yes, PlushCare is HIPAA compliant and our electronic medical records are held in a private electronic health records system. Our team has gone through extensive training to ensure that patient information is thoroughly protected. Any database or web platform that we use is also HIPAA compliant.
Yes, we're extremely grateful for the services you provide our country. Veterans and active military pay only $49 per visit. Please email a copy of your military ID to [email protected]
Your credit card is not charged when you book an appointment. It will only be charged 30 minutes after your appointment is complete. If your doctor cannot solve your health issue, the doctor lets our Clinical Team know, and we will make sure to address this issue on a case-by-case basis and come up with a solution.
Yes. Your health and data privacy are our top priorities. PlushCare services are all HIPAA compliant. Your information is kept confidential and is not shared with anyone outside the organization.
